Mitragynine vs 7-Hydroxymitragynine: The Difference Explained
These two compounds get confused constantly, and the confusion is usually caused by a milligram figure being compared across two products that do not contain the same thing. Here is the difference in plain terms.
The short version
Mitragynine is the principal alkaloid in Mitragyna speciosa (kratom) and is the more widely available compound. 7-hydroxymitragynine is a minor constituent in the plant that is considerably more potent, and is what Press’D’s tablet range is built around.
Why the numbers are not comparable
This is the part worth internalising. A 40mg 7OH tablet contains 40mg of one compound. The Double Stack at 200mg contains a combined total across two compounds.
So “200mg” is not five times “40mg”, and reading it that way is the single most common error we encounter with this product. The figure measures the tablet, not the active 7OH portion of it.

What the Uriq Complex has to do with any of this
It does not, really. The Uriq Complex is a Uncaria tomentosa (cat’s claw) extract at 100mg per tablet and contains no 7-hydroxymitragynine. It is a separate Press’D line. If you are shopping for 7OH specifically, skip that category entirely.
How to choose between them
If your interest is 7-hydroxymitragynine, the 7OH Tablets range is the relevant category and the strengths are directly comparable within it. If you want a mitragynine-containing product as well, the Double Stack is the one in the Press’D line.
