How Long Does 7OH Stay in Your System? What We Can and Cannot Say
This is one of the most searched questions in this category and one of the ones we are least able to helpfully answer. Rather than publish a number we cannot stand behind, here is an explanation of why, and what is genuinely useful instead.
Why we are not giving you a figure
Retention windows vary enormously between individuals and are affected by dose, frequency, body composition, liver function, other substances and a dozen other variables. A single figure published on a retailer’s website would be a guess wearing a lab coat.
Worse, a number can be misused — by people testing for employment or athletics, or by people trying to game a drug test. We are not in a position to help with either, and we will not publish something that could be read as guidance for doing so.
What is actually useful
If your question is about timing within a day — when you might notice something, how long a session might last — we do not publish those figures either, for the same reason. Anyone selling you a precise onset or duration number for a psychoactive product is inventing it.
What is genuinely useful is the same advice we give in our tolerance article: keep a simple personal log of what you took, when, and at what strength. Over time that record becomes far more informative than any published figure, because it is specific to you.
If your question is about drug testing
We cannot and will not help with evading a test. If you are subject to testing for employment, sport or legal reasons, the right thing to do is tell the testing body what you use, or speak to a physician, before you are in a difficult position.
